LaLaport BBCC launches new ACG BASE to massively level-up KL pop-culture scene

Discerning people of culture can rejoice now a Lalaport BBCC has unveiled ACG BASE, a one-stop nexus for anime, comics and games with a rich grounding in Japanese culture.

Located on level 2 of LaLaport BBCC, ACG BASE consists of over 20 stores that feature Japan’s most influential brands and fandom platforms with limited-edition merchandise and a culturally rich, unique shopping experience like no other.

Among the new outlets include Japan’s leading anime retailer animate that offers the latest collectibles and exclusives across its 3,900 square meter retail space. Another venue of interest is the KLP48 Theatre that offers daily live performances as well as a variety of popular retail outlets including the Bad Egg Club, Dimension Poptown, Doko Koko zones and more with a complete setup and a full selection of stores expected by the end of 2025.

To celebrate the opening of ACG BASE, LaLaport BBCC will be introducing an array of ongoing promotions from now until 30 November 2025 where customers who spend RM300 in a single receipt can get an RM20 cash voucher.

Those who spend RM100 across two receipts on the same day can get a free box of chocolates or cookies from Beryl’s. Shoppers can also collect a Sticker Rally Card to redeem another RM20 cash voucher.
