Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i laptop and Duet 7i detachable have evolved to bring svelte style and portability to Malaysia
Lenovo Malaysia has debuted two new slim laptops, the Yoga Slim 7i convertible with a 360-degree hinge and the Yoga Duet 7i detachable. Both are light laptops powered by 10th Gen Intel Core CPUs and notably have a faux stain-proof fabric finish.
Lenovo Duet 7i Price and Specifications
The Lenovo Duet 7i is a hybrid detachable that sports a 13-inch WQHD 2K resolution touch display with 100% sRGB colour accuracy to ensure faithful colour reproduction for both movies, work and casual gaming duties alike.
On its own, the Lenovo Duet 7i works as a highly portable tablet, weighing just 9.19mm while weighing 836g and packing a pair of Dolby Audio stereo speakers and support for Lenovo’s E-Color and Digital Pen styli so you can use it for creative tasks.
Fortunately it’s not just a slab of metal and plastic that lies flat on the table as it has a built-in kickstand, allowing users to prop it up for movies or gaming at will. Where it differs is that it also comes with a detachable folio case keyboard with an integrated touchpad and a textured fabric finish that turns it into a full-fledged laptop for productivity related tasks.
As it’s connected via Bluetooth, you can prop the keyboard in your lap and plunk the Duet 7i on a table for a comfier typing experience. With the keyboard, it still weighs a light 1kg or so.
While it looks slim, the Duet 7i is also pleasantly well equipped with 10th Gen Intel Core CPUs with your choice of either an i5-10210U 1.6GHz CPU or a Intel Core i7-10510U 1.8GHz CPU. The former variant comes with 8GB DDR4 RAM and a 512GB SSD while the latter is better equipped with 16GB DDR4 RAM and a 1TB SSD. Both variants rely on Intel UHD graphics.
According to Lenovo, the Duet 7i is rated for about 10.8 hours of battery life on a single charge off its 4-cell Li-Polymer battery and is juiced via its integrated USB-C port which makes it logistically handy when you’re on the move.
In Malaysia, the Duet 7i is either Slate Gray or a pinkish maroon shade of Orchid and is available for preorders with a price tag of RM4,599 for the aforementioned Intel Core i5 variant and RM5,699 for the Intel Core i7 variant. The Lenovo Slim Yoga 7i laptop comes with a solid array of hardware that make it ideal for productivity and paperwork. You get a 10th Gen Intel Core i7-1065G7 processor paired with 16GB DDR4 RAM, a 512GB SSD and an NVIDIA GeForce MX350 graphics card with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM.
The 14-inch display is touch-sensitive and has Full HD resolution though you can also opt for a more premium 14-inch UHD 4K resolution display with 90% DCI-P3.
Externally, it comes in your choice of three colour choices – Dark Moss, Orchid or Slate Grey along with either a metal or faux stainproof fabric finish with prices from RM5,099. There is also a variant that’s a lot cheaper with an AMD Ryzen CPU dubbed the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 AMD with prices starting from RM3,499.
