MSI GE76 Dragon Edition Tiamat gaming laptop up for preorders; priced from RM11,499

MSI is looking to add a touch of the exotic to their line-up of gaming laptops as they’re introducing their GE76 Dragon Edition Tiamat gaming laptop that packs some of the best hardware possible in one of the most unique laptop designs in recent memory.

Named after one of the primordial deities of Babylonian myth, the MSI GE76 Dragon Edition Tiamat has a distinct finish on the top lid and palm rests along with stunning Babylonian motifs complete with a stylised MSI logo finished in gold. This unique finish also extends to its bundled gaming mouse, mouse pad and other collectible goodies that come bundled with the laptop.

In terms of hardware, the MSI GE76 Dragon Edition Tiamat has hardware of appropriately mythical proportions with a 10th Intel Core i7-10870H CPU paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 graphics with 8GB GDDR6 Vram and a 140W Max TGP, 32GB 3,200MHz DDR4 RAM split between two RAM slots and a mammoth 2TB M.2 PCIe 3.0 x 4 NVMe SSD.

Up front, this behemoth of a gaming laptop has a luscious 17.3-inch Full HD 300Hz LCD panel with close to 100% sRGB colour space support paired with beefy stereo speakers tuned by DynAudio. Powering this behemoth is a 99.9WHr battery to keep it going in the field.

Needless to say, it’s anything but light and the laptop weighs in at a massive 2.9kg and it has a price to match at RM11,499 in this specific configuration.
