What is the MTG Commander Legends Battle for Baldur’s Gate expansion
Basically, MTG Commander Legends Battle for Baldur’s Gate expansion features familiar characters and locales in the city of Baldur’s Gate. You’ll encounter characters whose names have become legendary even beyond AD&D players like the infamous ranger Minsc and his miniature space hamster companion Boo, the mythical Elminster, the bubbly Imoen and more.
The expansion features several new mechanics and includes a new Backgrounds enchantment that adds more flavour text and also new in-game abilities to a chosen commander.
Another new mechanic is the addition of Initiative which unlike the normal use of the word involves a jaunt into the Undercity dungeons when a player gets the initiative which basically improves selected cards in the set when you have the initiative.
The set also sees the addition of classic looking Rulebook frames in selected cards that look like the early edition AD&D Monster Manuals as well as Borderless framed cards too. For more details check out https://magic.wizards.com/en/products/commander-legends-battle-baldurs-gate
