What is My Ofis the series

My Ofis centres around one Jasper (Kahoe Hon), a rockstar wannabe who gives up dreams of stardom and instead  turns to the grim, grey halls of the corporate world in order to support his grandmother with a more reliable paycheck versus the fickle foibles of being in the entertainment industry.

The sitcom covers the chaos and antics of corporate life in Malaysia and features a multicultural cast of industry veterans including a roster of exciting new talent that include Aeril Zafrel, veteran Alvin Wong, all-rounder Nasz Sally and more.

Speaking on the diverse experiences and cultures brought to the table by cast and crew members, Dianne Tan, Managing Director, Longhouse Films said, “The idea of My Ofis is the brainchild of the founder of Longhouse Films, Jon Chiew, the producer of My Ofis Jet Chiew, and myself. With our experiences and connections, we gathered local experts for this project and invited our international professionals from Korea, Hong Kong, China and the US to participate and enable us to blend Malaysia’s unique culture and different office personality into My Ofis, while also merging Korean culture with Malaysian style. Even the theme song “The Odd One Out” is a k-pop style song genre. This collaboration is also a great platform for both industry veterans and rising stars to learn from one another and we’re excited for Malaysians to experience this dramedy and we look forward to the discussions it will create in our society.”

On top of the distinctly Malaysian flavour of the new drama, My Ofis also incorporates a unique ‘Watch, Scan and Buy’ concept which allows users to buy products that they see onscreen by scanning a QR code onscreen.
