New myFirst Insta Lux introduces kids to their first instant camera; now in Malaysia for RM799

In today’s technologically saturated world, being technologically literate and familiar with the various commonplace aspects of technology that are part and parcel of our daily lives isn’t an option – it’s a life skill.

To impart this critical knowledge in an accessible manner, Singapore-based tech outfit myFirst is changing the rules of the game with a series of child-first devices such as headphones, earbuds, smartwatches and more with their myFirst Insta Lux camera taking centre stage.

myFirst Insta Lux camera specs

The myFirst Insta Lux is a compact camera with simple yet effective controls and a rear 2.8-inch IPS LCD to frame shots with the ability to snag instant long-lasting printouts that use dye-sublimation tech that remain smudge free.

The front and rear each host a 5MP camera for selfies and normal shots and the camera also has WiFi and the ability to receive photo’s from a parent’s phone from the myFirst Circle app.

The myFirst Insta Luxalso supports USB-C charging and has 64GB of expandable storage. The myFirst Insta Lux is priced at RM799 with two free refill packs worth RM98.

Additional products revealed alongside the myFirst Insta Lux include the myFirst Fone M1 (RM399), a 4G-enabled smartwatch for kids with GPS tracking, voice and video call support and safe messaging within the myFirst Circle network. 

Also revealed was the myFirst Frame Clario (RM499), a 7-inch smart family friend that offers private photo sharing and one-tap video calls within the myFirst ecosystem and a special feature – the ability to offer customisable ambient soundscapes to create a calming atmosphere that even adults would love.

The myFirst CareBuds Max (RM169) are wireless earbuds that are specifically designed with smart volume limiters between 85-94dB for younger children with a retaining cable and customisable ear tips for greater comfort.

Another novel product in their line-up is the myFirst Sketch Board Pro, a digital drawing tablet that retails for RM199.

 

The myFirst 3dPen Make Creator Kit (RM299) is appealing for both kids and adults alike as it integrates a 3D printing pen that melts and then extrudes plastic filament to form almost anything you can imagine from toys to architectural designs alike. It also comes issued in several fun action kits designed with specific themes.

myFirst Malaysia roadshow (26-29 March 2026), Sunway Pyramid

To kick off their Malaysia debut, myFirst will host a public roadshow at LG2 Orange Concourse, Sunway Pyramid from 26-29 March 2026 where families can experience the new line-up firsthand.
