New 2023 Toyota Vios fastback now in Malaysia; priced from RM89,500
UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) has officially rolled out the fourth-generation Toyota Vios in Malaysia which will come in the base 1.5 E variant which will cost RM89,600 and the more upscale 1.5 G version which will cost RM95,500, with the price tags for both versions being on the road prices without insurance. Both variants will also come with your choice of five possible paint jobs including a new Spicy Scarlet colourway.
2023 Toyota Vios highlights
Powering both variants of the new 2023 Toyota Vios is an improved version of the 1.5l DOHC Dual VVT-i engine mated to a 7-speed CVT gearbox that is capable of offering 106hp and up to 138 Nm of torque while Sequential Shiftmatic tech offers nimbler acceleration and better fuel efficiency. The addition of improved ultra high tensile materials and increased welding spots in the chassis along with a redesigned engine compartment have also improved rigidity, reduced mass and weight by 110kg.
The 2023 Toyota Vios 1.5 E version ships with urethane fabric seats and steering wheel, automatic LED headlamps that have a follow me home function, auto-folding side mirrors, acoustic windshield glass, LED running lights and combination tail lights, keyless entry and engine start functionality, a 4.2-inch TFT Multi Information Display, a 9-inch infotainment system with support for Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto paired with 4 speakers, wireless charging, a front digital recorder, a Vehicle Telematics System (VTS) that comes with a three-year free subscription, six airbags and two front and four rear parking sensors. 16-inch alloy rims are issued as standard.
The higher end 2023 Toyota Vios 1.5 G comes with larger 17-inch alloy rims, plusher leather seats and steering wheel, a paddle shifter, a larger 7-inch TFT multi information display, electronic parking brake with auto brake hold versus handbrakes in the E variant, the same 9-inch infotainment system as the E variant but with 6 speakers instead of 4 as well as more safety kit including Lane Keeping Control, Auto High Beam and Adaptive Cruise Control.
