New Honor MagicBook Art 14 notebook and MagicPad 2 tablet launched in Malaysia
On top of the Honor Magic V3 foldable, Honor has also released the MagicBook Art 14 ultraslim laptop and the MagicPad 2 tablet in Malaysia at their simultaneous launch both in IFA 2024 in Berlin and in Malaysia in downtown Bukit Bintang.

The Honor MagicBook Art 14 ultraportable laptop stands out from the crowd with a satin Emerald Green finish over an aerospace-grade magnesium alloy chassis that allows the laptop to be as thin as 1cm while weighing just 1kg.
Belying its weight, the Honor MagicBook Art 14 hosts a large 14.6-inch 3.1K (3,120 x 2080 pixels) OLED touch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 and a generous 97% screen-to-body ratio with a 3:2 aspect ratio. The display itself is also impressively appointed to make it easy on the eyes for extended use with 4,320 PWM flicker free dimming, TÜV Rheinland low blue light and flicker free certification too.
On top of the large touch display, the Honor MagicBook Art 14 also comes with a solid Intel Core Ultra 5 125H processor running Windows 11 Home with Intel Arc integrated graphics, 16GB RAM and a 1TB SSD.
Where it departs from other ultraportables is the inclusion of a detachable 1080P camera that latches on to the top for video calls and which can be reversed too. Once done, the camera can dock neatly into the side of the laptop. Keeping the Honor MAgicBook Art 14 powered is a 60Wh battery via a bundled 65W USB-C power adapter rated for 9.5 hours of battery life.
The Honor MagicPad2 tablet comes with a 12.3-inch Fullview display with 3,000 x 1,920 pixels resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. It also has 4,320Hz PWM dimming, along with TÜV Rheinland Flicker Free and Hardware-level Low Blue Light certification.
Powering the tablet is a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 built on a 4nm process running Android 14 with MagicOS 8.0, a slew of AI-powered features, 12GB RAM augmented by 8GB Honor RAM Turbo virtual RAM and 256GB of storage.
The rear comes with a 13MP camera while the front hosts a 9MP camera while the whole affair is powered by a 10,050 mAh battery with 66W wired fast charging.

In Malaysia, the Honor MagicPad 2 tablet comes in your choice of either black or white priced at RM2,799 with preorders commencing now until 13 September 2024 that come with a free Magic Keyboard and Magic Pencil 3 stylus worth RM898.
The Honor MagicBook Art 14 retails for RM5,999 and is on preorder from now until 20 September 2024 with a free backpack, a free 1-year Microsoft 365 subscription and a 1+2 year extended warranty all worth RM1,106.
