New LG xboom by Will.I.am series speakers blend AI and big sound for immersive listening
Renowned for their home appliances including air purifiers, air conditioners, TVs and more, LG has become a household name in Malaysia. They’re now kicking things up a notch with the launch of their new LG xboom by will.i.am series audio peripherals that exemplify his signature sound.
Featuring the distinctive sound of nine-time Grammy award winner will.i.am who acts as the Experiential Architect for the series, the new Xboom by will.i.am series of audio peripherals consists of the LG xboom Grab, the LG xboom Stage 301 and the xboom Bounce speakers and the xboom Buds wireless earbuds though the Stage 301 is currently not available yet in Malaysia. The entire LG xboom by Will.I.am series feature his signature sound melded with his distinctive take on form and function along with his signature acoustic blend that integrates both balance and warm sound with rich bass.
The deep collaboration with will.i.am extends beyond just tuning the acoustics as he adds his own flair to the series, incorporating steps and handles along with interactive lighting on selected models that syncs with the music as well as compact yet stylish form factors.
Of note with the new series is the integration of onboard AI that analyses melody, rhythm and vocals as well as the surrounding environment to optimise sound settings for a superior listening experience while AI Lighting syncs speaker lights in selected models to the music. The new LG xboom by Will.I.am also features a dedicated button that connects to will.i.am’s own RaiDiO.FYI radio platform for content curated by an AI radio host.
LG xboom Grab by will.i.am

Featuring a robust cylindrical design with the xboom logo boldly emblazoned on the side, the LG xboom Grab is a portable 1.1 channel speaker that features a racetrack woofer, dome tweeter and radiators for powerful, loud sound. Connectivity is primarily via Bluetooth 5.4 and the design supports both AAC and SBC codecs.
The design weighs about 700g and is also IP67 dust and water resistant. The speakers also feature an adjustable wrist strap and a huge battery rated for 20 hours of music playback with 3 hours needed for a full charge. LG xboom Stage 301 by will.i.am
Designed to quite literally bring big sound to any gathering, the LG xboom Stage 301 is a huge party speaker a front-facing 6.5-inch woofer and dual 2.5-inch midrange drivers in a compact wedge-shaped design that is IPX4 splash resistant and that makes it easy to deploy flat on its base, tilted back or mounted on a tripod with the edges featuring synced LED lighting. Like other speakers in the range, it has AI calibration capabilities to optimise audio based on its placement location and even has karaoke features tied into LG’s ThinQ app for a party experience on the go. To keep the party going, the Stage 301 also features replaceable battery packs with each one offering 12 hours of battery life. LG xboom Bounce by will.i.am
Where the Stage 301 is intended for outdoor performances and the Grab emphasises portability, the LG xboom Bounce is a 2.1ch portable speaker that is all about bringing your taste in music or lack thereof to the great outdoors. Built from the ground up as a ruggedised speaker, the LG xboom Bounce is built to MIL-STD 810H labels of durability and is able to shrug off rain, extreme shock, modest impacts, sand, dust and modest extremes of temperature. It also has an IP67 dust and water resistance rating along with a handy carrying strap.
To kick out sound, the LG xboom Bounce features two 20mm tweeters, a woofer and two passive radiators for loud and rich audio on the go while built-in AI Calibration optimises acoustics for whichever location you plonk it on even as AI Sound ensures sound is at its best. LG xboom Buds by will.i.am
The first and only wireless earbuds in the entire series, the LG xboom Buds feature a host of unique tech including Auracast support to tune into audio from supported devices and locations such as on a museum tour or at an airport. The earbuds both support SBC and AAC codec with the earbuds offering graphene-coated drivers for rich, balanced sound along with 3 mics for active noise cancellation.
The earbuds also feature IPX4 water resistance to shrug off sweat and the odd splash or two of water and feature up to 1o hours of music on a single charge and up to 30 hours of playback in total with a 5 minute-charge offering an extra hour of power in a pinch.
