Online vendor leaks possible price of Huawei P20 and P20 Pro as RM2,599 and RM3,299 for Malaysia
The Huawei P20 and their triple-camera toting P20 Pro had a grand debut with a global launch in Paris last week with their upcoming Malaysia launch slated for 3 April tomorrow where they will announce the retail price of both phones. It’s usually a guessing game until then but not this time as an overly enthusiastic online dealer has revealed the price of the P20 and P20 Pro.
Online retailer G Store listed, before taking them down shortly after, a preorder listing for the Huawei P20 and the P20 Pro with the former retailing at RM2,599 and the latter at RM3,299 with delivery slated for April 6. If these are the actual prices, and odds are good they are, Huawei’s latest flagships are going to be offered at jaw-droppingly competitive prices.
To recap, the P20 Pro is immensensely well specced with a 6.1-inch OLED display, a Kirin 970 processor paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage and a 24-MP selfie camera. The rear comes with a triple camera array with a 40-MP colour camera with an f/1.8 aperture , a 20-MP f/1.6 mono camera and an 8-MP camera with 3x optical zoom. It comes with all the embellishments befitting a flagship phone including 960fps slow-mo video capture, IP67 water and dust resistance and it comes 4.5V/5A fast charging.
The P20 has more modest though still impressive specifications with a dual 5.8-inch LCD display, 4GB RAM, 128GB of storage and a similar 24-MP selfie camera. The rear comes with a dual camera array that pairs up a 12-MP f/1.8 colour camera with a 20-MP mono f/1.6 mono camera.
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s official launch on 3 April 2018 where they’ll announce the actual price of the P20 and P20 Pro.
