Oppo announces camera-centric F1 midrange phone for 2016 line-up

Details are sparse for now but Oppo is opening up a camera centric category of smartphones for 2016 that they’ve dubbed the F-series that will stand beside their existing line-up of phones.

There are no specifications on the new phone barring a teaser image and an official quote by OPPO Vice President and Managing Director of International Mobile Business Sky Li, “We are very excited to introduce the F series, which will allow an even wider range of users from all around the world to experience OPPO’s outstanding photography technology”.

If you read between the lines of the official press statement, the F1 looks like a workhorse phone with a high end camera, a sound choice seeing the competitive nature of the midrange phone segment.
