OPPO Enco X earbuds revealed with noise cancelling and 25 hours of battery life
OPPO has issued quite a number of earbuds in recent months including various iterations of their Enco series but they were primarily midrange offerings. This time around, they’re gunning for the premium segment as they’re issuing the OPPO Enco X earbuds that are created in collaboration with Dynaudio and feature active noise cancellation too.
The OPPO Enco X has up to 38dB of active noise cancellation which is on par with most mainstream models and features an archetypal toothbrush-shaped design akin to Apple’s Airpods Pro.
Fortunately, their approach to the hardware under the hood is rather unique and the OPPO Enco X features a coaxial dual-driver design with the front magnetic balanced membrane driver to tackle high frequencies and a triple-layered composite driver for mid-low frequencies. It also packs a triple-mic with two facing out and one facing in to aggressively manage noise cancellation and audio pick-up.
Of note is that they’re using LHDC wireless transmission that’s a low latency high-definition audio codec that’s based on A2DP and which allows three times the amount of audio data to be transmitted.
According to OPPO, the Enco X has 4 hours of battery life with ANC on and 20 hours inclusive of the charging case. WIth ANC off, you get 5.5 hours of music playback time and 25 hours of additional juice inclusive of the charging case. In keeping with its premium status, the Enco X also has wireless charging support.
