Oppo Find X5 Pro launches in Malaysia priced at RM4,999 with RM1,726 in free gifts

Oppo has finally issued their latest heavyweight Find series phone that’s intended to tackle other flagship devices head on in Malaysia. Dubbed the Oppo Find X5 Pro, the phone has all the usual trimmings with a monocoque chassis moulded from one pane of ceramic to create a seamless camera housing with the backplate and the obligatory top-shelf hardware.

You get a 6.7-inch QHD+ (3,216 x 1,440 pixel) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and in-display fingerprint reader, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU, 12GB RAM, 256GB of non-expandable storage and a pair of 2,500mAh batteries to offer a collective 5,000mAh paired with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging support. Naturally, 5G connectivity comes baked-in along with fast WiFI 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.

On the camera front, Oppo aims to depart from the usual arms race by implementing a custom MariSilicon X NPU in tandem with Sony IMX766 sensors along with a collaboration with Hasselblad for better shots in the primary and ultra wide cameras. 

On the rear, you get a 50MP F/1.7 primary camera with an IMX766 sensor and dual-OIS stabilisation on 5-axis, an 50MP ultra wide camera also with an IMX766 sensor and a 13MP telephoto camera capable of 5x hybrid zoom and 20x digital zoom. Up front, you have a 32MP F/2.4 camera.

In Malaysia, the Oppo Find X5 Pro is issued in two paint jobs with your choice of either Ceramic White or Glaze Black with a price tag of RM4,999 though you can get up to RM1,397 in free gifts if you preorder the phone before the 27th May 2022.

You get a free pair of Enco X2 earbuds worth RM799, a year of screen protection worth RM399 and an additional RM199 in an extended warranty along with a free Kevlar phone case worth RM129, a Touch ‘n Go reload pin worth RM100 and an RM100 cash voucher if you get it off their official website, Shopee or Lazada.
