OPPO launches Find X in Malaysia
Teased since its original launch in Paris, the OPPO Find X integrates the best hardware that the brand can muster combined in a slick looking casing that boasts of a unique feature that nothing else in the market at present has. On demand, the front and rear camera assemblies pop up to capture snaps and pops back down again to protect it from the elements. Now, the OPPO Find X is making its way to Malaysia.
At the launch OPPO Malaysia announced the price of the Find X at RM3,699 in your choice of either Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue with preorders starting from today 17 July 2018 at their online store at www.oppostore.com.my and their official online e-tailers at Lazada, Shopee and 11street. Those who preorder get to enjoy a complimentary Olike Neo Smartwatch worth RM376.
While no pricing or availability was announced, OPPO did showcase a working example of the ultra premium Find X Automobili Lamborghini edition phone alongside a car from the marque.
To refresh your memory, the OPPO Find X sports as its unique feature a motorised pop-up camera array that integrates the front and rear dual camera. The front camera consists of a 25-MP sensor that takes self portraits while the rear dual camera sports a 16-MP camera combined with a 20-MP camera. A host of sensors paired up next to the front-facing selfie camera also perform facial recognition duties to unlock the phone.
In terms of hardware, the Find X has a 6.4-inch curved FHD+ AMOLED touchscreen up front, a Snapdragon 845 processor, a generous 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage along with a 3,630mAh battery with VOOC fast charging tech that ensures a measure of safety and speedy juicing as well with a full charge possible in 90 minutes from dead zero.
The phone runs on Android Oreo 8.1 overlaid with their Color OS 5.1 and integrates a side-mounted DSP module to allow for you to summon Google Assistant on demand with your voice. OPPO’s Color OS 5.1 also preemptively uploads your most commonly used apps in the background for faster boot-up with the AI offering about 87% accuracy in terms of app selection.
The higher end OPPO Find X Automobili Lamborghini edition is otherwise mostly similar in terms of hardware as the mainstream Find X but has a swanky looking box as well as a carbon-fibre backplate sporting the famous marque’s logo, a massive 512GB of storage and a slightly smaller 3,400mAh battery with an enhanced version of OPPO’s fast charging tech dubbed SuperVOOC fast charge that lets it charge from dead zero to full in just 35 minutes.
