OPPO releases images of F9 and teases about VOOC Flash Charge capabilities
OPPO’s next phone is an enigmatic affair indeed with elusive hints as to its capabilities and design though OPPO Malaysia has released an official series of product images that indicate, at least, some of the aesthetic finishes that the OPPO F9 will come in as well as some of its capabilities.
With the enigmatic tagline ‘Colour has no boundaries’, the official poster renders of the OPPO F9 have a dual rear camera horizontally emplaced in the upper left corner of the phone along with a fingerprint reader emplaced in the upper third of the backplate.
The renders also show three different colours – red, a dark blue and a brilliant shade of purple respectively dubbed Sunrise Red, Twilight Blue and Starry Purple.
The first two colour gradient finishes actually have a slight diamond-shaped prismatic effect that reflects the light in interesting ways whereas the Starry Purple finish seems to be a solid colour. OPPO’s exclusive photographer, one Keda Z. Feng has also shared images of models posing with the phone.
The front of the phone will have an unusual teardrop-shaped notch for the selfie camera. According to reports, the phone will integrate a 25-MP front-facing AI-enhanced selfie camera up front and come in two variants – the OPPO F9 and F9 Pro with the latter coming with a 6.3-inch FHD+ IPS LCD touchscreen, a MediaTek Helio P50 SoC, 6GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage with a rear 16-MP SD card array. There are no details as yet on the F9 or its capabilities.
What is certain is that the F9 will have OPPO’s VOOC Flash Charge which allows for a 5-minute charge to offer 2-hours of talk time. We’ll fill you in when we discover more about OPPO’s next phone. For more details stay tuned to www.oppo.com/my/
