Oppo Reno16 series and Oppo Bubble launched in Malaysia
Oppo has just launched the latest successor to their Oppo Reno15 series phones that were released earlier this year alongside a new companion accessory.
Taking pride of place in their Reno series line-up is their new Reno16 Pro and Reno16, alongside the new Oppo Bubble which is a small rounded AMOLED display that acts as an animated charm and viewfinder when paired with an Oppo phone.

In terms of hardware, the Oppo Reno16 Pro is the more powerful of two phones, featuring a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 3,600 nits peak brightness and a quoted 144Hz refresh rate. The display is also protected by what they refer to as Crystal Guard glass that resists nicks and scratches.
Running under the hood is a Mediatek Dimensity 8550 Super processor running their own ColorOS 16 over Android 16. This is paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of storage.

For imaging duties, the phone packs a rear 200MP main camera with a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x zoom and a 50MP ultrawide angle camera. Up front, you get a single 50MP camera.
Both front and rear cameras are capable of 4K@60fps video and the phone has a new Pop filter that adds film effects to snaps as well as steadier 4K video capture, allowing for up to 5 degrees of tilt. Keeping the whole affair powered is a 6,700mAh battery with 80W fast charging.

The Oppo Reno16 has a similar display as the Pro model but uses a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage.
The front and rear cameras are also somewhat similar save that the main camera is a 50MP model versus the 200MP camera in the Pro. The Reno16 also maintains a similarly sized 6,700mAh battery with 80W wired charging.
Both phones have an IP68 and iP69K dust and water resistance rating. In Malaysia, the Reno16 Pro retails for RM3,699 while the Reno16 retails for RM2,699.
Oppo has also announced a base model dubbed the Oppo Reno16 F priced at RM1,899. In terms of hardware, the Oppo Reno16 F has a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy chipset paired with 8GB RAM and has 256GB storage.
The rear features a triple camera that consists of a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x zoom and an 8MP ultrawide angle camera. The front has a single 50MP camera. Keeping the phone powered is a 7,000mAh battery which also has 80W wired charging.



Oppo Bubble Malaysia specs and price
In the case of the Oppo Bubble, you get a small, rounded 1.73-inch AMOLED touch display with 466 x 466 pixels resolution and 600 nits peak brightness.

In essence, it acts as an animated charm with your choice of images or animated cartoon mascots while also pairing up with an Oppo phone of recent vintage to act as an electronic viewfinder to make full use of the rear camera. In Malaysia, it retails for RM349.
