Oppo’s selfie-centric F1s phone takes to the field

If you prioritise selfies and use the front camera of your phone more than the back, you’ll likely find Oppo’s F1s phone something right up your alley. The front camera on the F1s is more powerful than the rear with the front of the phone fielding an 16-MP camera that has an f/2.0 aperture and a 1/3.1-inch sensor. The front camera is also able to use the entire display as a flash for shots with their Screen Flash function and a Beautify function lets you dial how much beautifucation your mug needs with up to seven levels on offer. The rear has a more modest 13-MP camera with an F/2.2 aperture and an LED flash. Both front and rear capture videos at 1080p.

Camera aside the phone has a 5.5-inch HD LCD display with 267ppi and packs a MediaTek MT6750 1.5GHz octacore processor running Android 5.1 Lollipop overlaid with their latest version of their homebrewed Color O.S UI. The F1s also has 3GB RAM and 32GB of expandable storage with a dedicated microSD card slot and dual SIM card slots. A home button on the front bezel offers a fast 0.22 second unlock time. To allow you to keep snapping away until the cows come home, the F1S has a built-in 3075mAh battery that is rated for 14 hours of battery life with contant use.

Externally, the phone has a rather fetching brushed metal finish that comes in a choice of two colours in Malaysia – gold and rose gold. The all metal smoothly machined finish is  7.4mm thin and weighs 160g.
