Poco F7 launched in Malaysia; prices start from RM1,599

After the debut of the Poco F7 and F7 Ultra earlier this year in March, Xiaomi has finally released the base model, the Poco F7 in Malaysia with your choice of two storage capacities and three possible colourway options and a price point that starts from RM1,599 and up.

The Poco F7 features a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with 2,772 x 1,280 pixels resolution, up to a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,2 00 nits peak  brightness mode along with support for the DCI-P3 colour gamut.

For added protection, the display is sheathed in Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and the entire chassis is rated for IP68 dust and water resistance as well as a reinforced chassis that is quoted to offer up to 70kg bending resistance..

Powering the Poco F7 is a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset paired with 12GB RAM and your choice of either 256GB or 512GB storage and Android 15 with Xiaomi HyperOS 2 overlaying it running under the hood.

Keeping the phone juiced is a large 6,500mAh battery with fast 90W wired charging. Its larger and more powerful siblings the Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra both respectively pack slightly more powerful hardware with the former running on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and the latter the top of the line Snapdragon 8 Elite.

For imaging duties, the Poco F7 has a single rear camera with a 50MP f/1.5 Sony IMX882 sensor and OIS while the front has a single 20MP camera.

In Malaysia, you can acquire the Poco F7 in black, white or silver with the 12GB RAM/256Gb erosion retailing for RM1,799 and the 12GB RAM/512GB storage variant for RM1,699.
