New Predator Helios 18 AI and Helios Neo 16S AI gaming laptops, Orion 7000 desktop PC and more launched in Malaysia

Acer got game and they’ve expanded their Predator line-up of gaming gear with the launch of their new Predator Helios 18 AI and Helios Neo 16S AI gaming laptops, the Orion 7000 desktop PC, the 31.5-inch Predator X32 X3 OLED gaming monitor, an Acer Aspire 6 laptop with an RTX 3050 GPU, the new cer Nitro Intel Arc B580 graphics card and the Acer Nitro Mobile gaming controller.

Predator Helios 18 AI and Helios Neo 16S AI specs and price

As the poster child of the launch, the  Predator Helios 18 AI comes with an 18-inch 2K Mini LED IPS panel that offers up to 100% DCI-P3 capable of supporting either 4K@120Hz or 1080P@240Hz resolutions. Powering this behemoth is an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, up to an NVIDIA RTX 5080 laptop GPU, a stock 96 GB DDR5 RAM out of the box with the option to upgrade to a whopping 192GB DDR5 RAM, a 4TB SSD with the option of up to 6TB with three additional slots and a massive 99Wh battery. 

Like previous Predator examples, selected keys on the RGB keyboard are swappable via their Magkey 4.0 mechanical switches tech. You also get WiFi 7 and Killer DoubleShotPro tech. In Malaysia, this behemoth is available for preorder at RM19,999 from now until 15 May 2025.

Slightly smaller but just as powerful is the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S AI that is 12mm thin at its slimmest point and has a 16-inch WQXGA OLED IPS display with 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and a 240Hz refresh rate. Powering the laptop is an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti mobile GPU, 32GB DDR4 RAM and a 1TB SSD with slots for additional RAM and storage. In Malaysia, the Helios Neo 16S AI is yours for RM11,999 and is on preorder from 15 May until 31 May 2025.

Acer Aspire 7 specs and price

While the Predator Helios series took the limelight, Acer also revealed the Aspire 7 which has a 15.6-inch IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate, an Intel Core i5-12450H processor, 16GB DDR4 RAM, a 512GB SSD and an RTX 3050 laptop GPU. This modest workhorse retails for RM3,299 and is available in stores from 9 May onwards.

Predator Orion 7000 desktop PC specs and price

For those seeking desktops, the Acer Predator Orion 7000 desktop PC looks set to dominate the competition. For RM15,999 you get a massive steel and glass casing with an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K desktop CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card, 64GB DDR5 RAM, and a 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD.

For a limited time until 15 May, those who purchase the monitor before 15 May will get a Predator gaming chair worth RM1,299 and an RM150 Touch ‘n Go eWallet credit to sweeten the pot.

Predator X32 X3 OLED monitor, Intel Arc B590 OC GPU and Acer Nitro Mobile Controller specs and price

Acer also revealed their Predator X32 X3 OLED gaming monitor that measures in at 31.5-inches diagonal with your choice of either 4K@240hz or FHD@480Hz resolution while integrating AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync support.

The monitor also has a 99% DCI-P3 colour gamut and features Vesa DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. In Malaysia, the Predator X32 X3 OLED gaming monitor retails for RM4,999 and is now available nationwide. Those who buy the monitor will also get an RM500 discount and a Galea 315 headset worth RM199 if you get it before 15 May.

Also launched at the same time was the Acer Nitro Intel Arc B580 OC desktop graphics card that features Intel’s Arc Battlemage Xe2 GPU with a GPU clock offering up to 2,740MHz and that supports 1440p gaming. In Malaysia, it retails for RM1,599.

Also launched was the Acer Nitro Mobile controller that neatly slots onto phones or tablets up to 8.3-inches in size with 15 buttons and an asking price of RM439.
