Predator Helios 18P AI laptop and X27U F8 gaming monitor launched at IFA 2025

Alongside ultraportables like the Swift 16 AI,  Acer also revealed their latest generation Predator Helios 18P AI gaming laptop capable of tackling serious work and play as well as the Predator X27U F8 gaming monitor.

In terms of hardware, the Predator Helios 18P AI has a massive 16-inch Mini LED display with EQUXGA resolution (3,840 x 2,400 pixels), a 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 and 1,000 nits peak brightness. Running under the hood is up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX processor with Intel vPro paired with up to 192GB RAM, up to a 6TB SSD and up to an NVIDIA Geforce RTX 5090 laptop rated for up to 1,824 AI TOPS

Keeping all this hardware cool are a pair of Acer’s own 6th gen AeroBlade Metal fans paired with liquid thermal grease and vector heat pipes to shunt heat away from key areas. The laptop itself is surprisingly portable as gaming laptops go at 3.5kg while being 17.3mm thin. In terms of availability, the Predator Helios 18P AI will be available in the United States starting from USD3,999 and up and in EMEA starting from EUR 4,999 and up.

The Predator X27U F8 gaming monitor is a 26.5-inch OLED panel with WQHD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels resolution and a default 540Hz refresh rate though you can swap to a much faster refresh mode albeit at HD resolution with 1,280 x 720 pixels but in exchange, you get a whopping 720Hz refresh rate.

The panel also offers up to 99% DCI-P3 and has VESA DisplayHDR 500 True black certification as well as AMD FreeSync Premium to minimise screen tearing and stuttering. The monitor will be available from Q1 2025 with prices that start from USD1299.99 in the United States, Q2 in emEA from EUR 1,199 and China from Q1 2026 from RMB9.999.  For more details, check out Acer’s official page here.
