New PrismPlus Luna air conditioner and Aura smart air purifier make Malaysia debut
Mention PrismPlus and you’ll likely bring to mind the popular brand that primarily specialises in affordable yet effective tellies and displays but they’re delving into new areas of endeavour this time around and have launched a new PrismPlus Luna Air Conditioner along with a rather cute looking PrismPlus Aura Smart Air Purifier for the Malaysia market.
PrismPlus Luna details and price
The new PrismPlus Luna air conditioner is their first ever Malaysia-exclusive air conditioner designed specifically for our market. Prior to this, they have already created an air conditioner model dubbed the Zero for the Singapore market.
Up close, the PrismPlus Luna air conditioner has both 1.0HP and 1.5HP variants and has a four layer anti-corrosive coating to protect it from the elements. It’s also surprisingly smart, integrating with their PRISM+ Connect app that allows users to set up geofencing, routines based on time or ambient room temperature, usage insights as well as for scheduling servicing appointments.
Of note is that the air conditioner itself has a 2 year warranty for the indoor conditioner unit itself and 5 years for the external unit. Preorders will kick off from 1 May 2024 on the PrismPlus website and on 15 May 2024 via Shopee, Lazada and offline retail stores. In Malaysia, the 1.0HP model retails at RM799 (original price RM999) while the 1.5HP model is available at RM1,099 (original price RM1,299) for a limited time.
According to PrismPlus Malaysia, new owners of the PrismPlus Luna can opt-in for pay-per-use or subscription style air conditioner servicing at a price point that’s yet to be determined though this service is currently only for those in the Klang Valley for now but it will gradually roll out to other states in phases.
PrismPlus Aura air purifier details and price
The cute looking PrismPlus Aura air purifier is about knee height and is able to effectively purify the air in a room with a rounded looking robotic looking faceplate able to show you air quality at a glance based on how happy or sad the robot’s expression is.
To ensure air stays clean, it has a medical-grade HEPA H13 filter with four layers of filtration to capture pollen, bacteria and other aerial particles. Like the PrismPlus Luna air conditioner, the PrismPlus Aura air purifier also works with their new PRISM+ Connect app to gain additional insight and diagnostic options including the ability to check air quality at a glance from your phone.
In Malaysia, the PrismPlus Aura is available in two colourways with the Alpine White model retailing for RM379 and the Space Grey model for RM399. It will be available for sale from 1 May onwards in Malaysia.
