Razer Huntsman V2 Analog with analog optical switches is a literal game changer for US$250
Razer has added a new addition to their popular Huntsman mechanical gaming keyboard line-up dubbed the Razer Huntsman V2 Analog that not only bears their customary RGB customisable lighting but the addition of their new Razer Analog Optical Switches.
The Razer Huntsman V2 Analog doesn’t look all that different from its other siblings but its analog optical switches are a literal game changer. Each key switch is a marvel of engineering with an analog input, adjustable actuation and dual-step actuation components. On paper, each Razer Analog Optical Switch is rated to last up to 100 million keystrokes.
An analog input mimics the input of an analog joystick to offer finer control and maneuverability especially if you’re doing so in FPS shooters with the traditional ‘WASD’ setup. The adjustable actuation component lets you tweak the actuation from 1.5mm all the way to a full 3.6mm if you’re a classic button masher.
Dual-step actuation is the magic sauce here as there’s a two-step actuation in each key so that one keystroke can do two things depending on how hard you press down the key. This means you can, for example, pop the pin on a grenade and then fling in a game with one button.
The Razer Huntsman V2 Analog also features doubleshot PBT keycaps for extended use and your choice of a braided cable to power it or a secondary USB 3.0 passthrough cable with your choice of either a USB-A or USB Type-C port via a bundled adapter.
