New realme 16 5G with 7,000mAh battery now available in Malaysia for RM1,599

realme has just launched their latest phone that attempts to minimise weight while maximising battery endurance dubbed the realme 16 5G which weighs just 183g, is just 8.1mm thin but packs a generously sized 7,000mAh battery. According to realme, this makes the realme 16 5G the phone with the lightest 7,000mAh battery in the industry.

In terms of hardware, it comes with a 6.57-inch FHD+ (2,372 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display paired with a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo processor, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. Other configurations with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage do exist but Shopee and Lazada currently only have the 8GB RAM/256GB storage version available. 

The rear features a 50MP f/1.8 camera that uses a Sony IMX852 sensor paired with a 2MP f/2.4 monochrome camera with the notable addition of a small integrated mirror that allows for more effective framing for selfies with the rear camera. Up front, you have a single 50MP f/2.4 camera. 

To keep the lights on, the realme 16 5G features a 7,000mAh battery with 60W wired fast charging.

Hardware aside, the realme 16 5G has an IP69 dust and water resistance rating and comes in your choice of either an Air White or an Air Black finish.  

At launch, the phone is officially priced at RM1,599 but early bird buyers can get a special First Sale Offer from 13 June for a limited time and get the phone for just RM1,499 along with RM537 in free gifts that include a handheld fan, one-year extended warranty and 180-days screen crack warranty.
