[Review] Logitech K780 Wireless Keyboard – Desk What They All Say

Performance
We connected the K780 via its Bluetooth dongle to a desktop PC, an Asus tablet and a Galaxy S7 along with a host of other phones in succession. Pairing was accomplished in seconds and switching between any of three devices at a time was simply a matter of pressing a button. Unpairing and pairing devices was equally simple.

The keyboard works well for Mac and Windows users alike as it comes with shortcut keys for both OS emblazoned on the keyboard. It’s also rated to work with Android devices, iOS gear and Chrome OS too. Punching a thousand word article wasn’t a problem on Google Docs with us switching between a Windows PC and an Android phone while working on the same document for a lark. The key were gratifyingly responsive and allowed for touch typing though the lack of backlighting means it’s not entirely practical to use under low light conditions.

Conclusion
The device trough itself worked as intended though like many other designs of its ilk, it isn’t adjustable so it still won’t be able to accommodate devices that are already clad in protective casings. It offered quite a bump up in productivity as we could Whatsapp and Facebook chat on our phone, sort out paperwork on our PC and it allowed us to use a tablet as an ersatz second display cum browser by navigating the interface with keyboard shortcuts. At RM369, the K780 is a pricey proposition compared to its cheaper siblings. If price is no issue and you’re a desktop bound multi device user, this is the most expedient way to interact and eke out a measure of productivity on all your devices.

What we loved Responsive keys, easy pairing, wide device trough
What we didn’t Trough is not deep enough to accept casing-clad devices, keyboard isn’t fully backlit
What we say The de facto workhorse keyboard for multi device users has been found and it’s the K780. Well built, easy to pair and offering swift, responsive keys as well as absurdly long battery life, the K780 should be tops on your list for wireless work keyboards should price be no issue.
