ROG Phone 6D gaming phone breaks cover with Dimensity 9000 Plus processor

ASUS Republic of Gamers have just announced a new variant of their flagship ROG Phone 6 gaming phone that uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor as an alternative to the existing Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor dubbed the ROG Phone 6D and it’s more powerful sibling the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate.

What is the ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate?

The ROG Phone 6D comes with a 6.78-inch 165Hz AMOLED display with a 720Hz touch-sampling rate and HDR10+ support, is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor, has up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

On the rear, the phone has a triple camera array with a 50MP primary camera, a 13MP ultra wide angle camera and a macro camera with the front packing 12MP selfie camera. Keeping the phone powered is a 6,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging support via a side and bottom mounted USB-C port.

The ROG Phone 6D Ultimate is otherwise similar but has the option for up to 512GB of storage and has an AeroActive Portal on the rear that works in tandem with the Aeroactive Cooler 6 attachment for up to 20% enhanced thermal efficiency and more sustained cooling performance for extended gaming.
