Samsung 990 SSD now available in Malaysia in 1TB and 2TB capacities from RM1,069

Samsung has launched their 990 SSD in Malaysia that comes in 1TB and 2TB capacities with prices that start from RM1,069.

The Samsung 990 SSDs come in an M.2 (2280) form factor with the 1TB variant offering up to 7,150MB/S and 6,450MB/s sequential read and write speeds respectively and up to 700K IOPS random read and up to 1,100K IOPS random write speeds.

The larger 990 SSD with 2TB capacity offers up to 7,250 MB/s sequential read and up to 6,450 MB/s sequential write speeds with up to 850K IOPS random read and up to 1,200K IOPS random write speeds. 

According to Samsung, the 990 SSD is 38% more power efficient than its predecessor with their own Samsung Magician Software ensuring optimal performance, seamless data migration and drive health monitoring.

The Samsung 990 SSD 1TB will be priced at RM1,069 while the 2TB model is priced at RM2,111. Availability is slated for the end of July 2026. For more details check out www.samsung.com/my
