Galaxy A22 5G and Galaxy A22 now in now in natty pastel violet and mint
If clothes make the man, paint jobs make the phone and Samsung’s Galaxy A22 5G and Galaxy A22 now come with two additional shades on top of the stock generic shade of gray in the form of a pastel Mint and Violet.
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G and Galaxy A22 differences
Functionally speaking, both phones have a similar external design but have minor differences in the cameras, onboard RAM, the processor and 5G capability with the A22 capping it at 4G LTE and the Galaxy A22 5G offering 5G connectivity..
The higher end Galaxy A22 5G has a 6.6-inch 90Hz TFT LCD display, runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor with a 5G modem, has 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage with a rear quad camera that has a 48MP main camera, a 5MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP depth sensor with the front packing an 8MP selfie camera.
The Galaxy A22 however has a 6.4-inch 90Hz Super AMOLED display, a Helio G80 processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB of storage, a rear quad camera which has a 48MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra wide angle camera, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro camera. The front packs a 13MP selfie camera. Both phones come with a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging.
The Galaxy A22 retails for RM899 while the Galaxy A22 5G costs RM999. Both phones are now available in Malaysia and if you hustle, Samsung will throw in a free soft clear cover worth RM39 on the house. You can check out both phones here:
