Samsung Galaxy S25 FE with Exynos 2400 CPU is official; coming to Malaysia
The final member of the Galaxy S25 series for 2025 has finally been revealed and as you’d likely surmise, it’s the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE which attempts to maximise bang for the buck while keeping prices modest.
While no prices were announced at the preview, its predecessor the Galaxy S24 FE capped out at RM3988 for the 512GB variant when it was released last year. Also revealed alongside the phone was the new Galaxy Tab S11 series which features the Ultra and base configuration as well as the affordable Galaxy Buds3 FE wireless earbuds which were officially revealed earlier.
What is the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE
In terms of hardware, the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE keeps to the same aesthetics as its predecessor with a vertically aligned rear triple camera array with rounded corners and a flat display. When compared to the prior Galaxy S24 FE, the new Galaxy S25 FE is 8% thinner than its predecessor and 11% lighter at 7.4mm thin and 190g when put on the weighing scales.

It also gets a bump up in durability with the use of Enhanced Armor Aluminium that is the same as that used on the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ this year. The front gets Corning Gorilla Glass Victus to protect it from nicks and scratches. The phone also retains the same IP68 dust and water resistance which lets it shrug off up to 1.5 metres of freshwater for up to 30 minutes at a time.
Up front, you get a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display that has FHD+ (1,024 x 2,340 pixels) resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate that also has 1,900 nit peak brightness though the bezels are slimmer this time around. Powering the phone is the Exynos 2400 which has similar hardware but a slightly higher clock speed.

To manage the faster hardware, the Galaxy S25 FE has a 10% larger vapour chamber with liquid thermal interface material (TIM) for more efficient cooling. It also comes paired with 8GB RAM with either 256GB or 512GB of storage. A variant with 128GB of storage is available with selected partners.
Running under the hood of the Galaxy S25 FE is the latest Android 16 along with One UI 8 which makes it the first Galaxy S series phone to sport the new firmware. Samsung has also confirmed that the phone will get 7 years of OS and security updates.

On the rear, the Galaxy S25 FE sports a triple camera setup that consists of a primary 50MP f/1.8 main camera with Dual Pixel Autofocus and OIS, a secondary 12MP f/2.2 ultra wide angle camera and an 8MP f/2.4 telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. This is otherwise similar to its predecessor. Up front, the phone has a single 12MP camera for selfies which is slightly better than its predecessor which had a 10MP sensor.
Keeping the Galaxy S25 FE powered is a 4,900mAh battery which is larger than its predecessor and has fast 45W wired charging as well as 15W wireless charging too.
What makes the Galaxy S25 FE particularly tempting is that it has all the same AI and hardware features of its more powerful Galaxy S25 brethren including now bar and Now brief, the same Gemini AI with personalised AI with interactivity with what you’re sharing on the screen and display as well as their improved ProVisual engine that offers improved camera performance.
