New budget Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 and Tab A11+tablets launched in Malaysia; prices start from RM499

If you’re on the hunt for a budget tablet, Samsung has just issued two new budget offerings to kick off the new year – the Galaxy Tab A11 and the Galaxy Tab A11+ which feature compact form factors. MediaTek chipsets and a solid seven year commitment to OS and security updates.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 specs and price

The smaller Galaxy Tab A11 has an 8.7-inch TFT LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, runs on a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset running Android 15 and One UI 7. The rear also has a single 8MP camera with the front hosting a single 5MP camera.

In terms You also get your choice of three possible configurations, a budget version with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and WiFi only for RM499, a slightly higher version with 8GB RAM, 128GB storage and WiFi for RM599 and as well as a version with 4G LTE as well as 8GB RAM and 128GB storage for RM699. 

You also get your choice of either Gray or Silver colourways for all configurations. All versions benefit from expandable storage via a microSD card slot that supports up to 2TB cards. Bar the single 4G LTE equipped variant, all versions feature WiFi and Bluetooth and are powered by a 5,100mAh battery. 

Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ specs and price

The Galaxy Tab A11+ is a beefier variant that has a larger screen, a bigger battery with faster wired charging and several additional upgrades. There’s only one available configuration for Malaysia, with your choice of either gray or white colourways. 

In terms of hardware, the Galaxy Tab A11+ sports an 11-inch TFT LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate, and features a Dimensity 7300 chipset running Android 16 with One UI 8. Paired with the chipset is 8GB RAM and 256GB of expandable storage via a microSD card slot. Of note is that the tablet supports Samsung’s vaunted DeX mode which offers a desktop experience on the tablet with a taskbar at the bottom. 

Another key upgrade is that the Galaxy Tab A11+ also features four speakers enhanced with Dolby Atmos for richer sound. Like the base Tab A11, it has a single 8MP camera on the rear and 5MP camera on the front but has a bigger battery with 7,040mAh capacity with faster 25W wired charging. In Malaysia, it retails for RM1,099 and in a WiFi only configuration.
