Samsung lauded as best brand in Asia in 2018
Samsung Electronics, best known for their smartphones and white goods that are available in nearly every market and region across the globe added another feather in their cap as they have been lauded as the best brand in Asia in 2018 based on the ‘Asia’s Top 1000’ Brands’ annual online survey. This success marks the seventh time in a row that Samsung has been lauded as Asia’s best brand.
The survey, which is conducted by Campaign Asia-Pacific in collaboration with Nielsen aggregates views from across 17 major product categories that encompass automotive, retail, F&D and consumer electronics and gives a direct measure of what are the most highly regarded brands in the market today. The study covers 13 critical markets in Asia – Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam and also factors in age, gender and monthly household income to offer a balanced survey landscape.
For 2018, Samsung has spearheaded innovation in consumer tech with the release of their Galaxy S9 and S9+ that integrate a mechanical dual aperture lens that offers enhanced imaging performance for the rear camera. Of late, they also launched their groundbreaking new QLED TV that offers enhanced connectivity, better contrast and detail onscreen. Samsung has also consistently showed a commitment to giving back to the community with an ongoing series of social responsibility initiatives such as their Love & Care programme.
“Samsung is extremely honored to be receiving this award once again – the award is an indicator of our consumers’ support towards us and the products and services that we offer. As we continue to grow as a brand, Samsung remains committed to continuously innovating towards creating new possibilities and experiences for our consumers through our products and services,” said Steve Lee, President and CEO of Samsung Electronics Southeast Asia & Oceania.
