Samsung releases teaser that hints on enhanced Galaxy Note9 battery endurance

Samsung has just flipped the switch on a short teaser disseminated on YouTube that lasts just 30 seconds and which highlights a smartphone user running low on battery before fading out to an enigmatic message about 9 August 2018, which is when the Samsung Unpacked event will take place in New York.

There’s precious little to tell in the video and the phone used is certainly not the Note9 in any form or shape as seen in prior renders. The hapless user runs through all the usual tricks to save battery life, turning off wifi, stopping unused apps and other functions, dimming the screen, disabling GPS before finally succumbing to a dry battery.

The video then mentions the tagline ‘A Lot Can Change In a Day’ and then the aforementioned August 9 launch date. If this is taken as an indication of the upcoming Galaxy Note9’s capabilities, it will likely include either a very efficient means of handling processes to ensure longer battery endurance or it may just included the rumoured huge 4,000mAh battery within its chassis.
