Awesome Samsung Smart Monitor M8 coming to Malaysia; here’s how to register your interest
Launched at CES 2022, the Samsung M8 Smart Monitor is designed as a versatile workhorse that can accomplish a variety of mission profiles from work to entertainment too. Now, Samsung has confirmed that they’re bringing it to Malaysia and have set up a page to register your interest in getting one.
What is the Samsung Smart Monitor M8
For the uninitiated, the Samsung Smart Monitor M8 is a 32-inch flat VA display with 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160 pixels), a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 3,000:1 contrast ratio. Colour accuracy is rated at 99% sRGB with a 60Hz refresh rate and it has support for HDR and HDR10+ content.
Where it earns its moniker as a Smart Monitor is that it runs Tizen OS under the hood and has Samsung’s Smart TV functionality, allowing it to hook up to WiFi and then play streaming services or other on-demand content on top of acting as a display for the day job. For video calls, it also has a detachable wireless Slim Fit camera.
The Samsung Smart Monitor M8 also features what they call a Workmode to remotely access another PC or pair up with a Samsung Galaxy phone with DeX like the new Galaxy S22 series. That’s not all as it’s also able to act as an IoT hub to control other connected devices in your home like the lights and air conditioning too.
There’s no word on how much it will cost when it arrives in Malaysia but you can sign up to register your interest at their official page from now until 27th March 2022 at https://www.samsung.com/my/offer/it/2022-smart-monitor-m8-pre-registration/
