Samsung Tukar Beli lets you trade-in 5 old phones to trade-up to the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are currently the hottest phones in Malaysia and the most technologically advanced on account of their foldable 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED displays but they don’t come cheap with the Fold 3 costing RM6,699 and up and the Flip 3 requiring you to chunk out a cool RM3,999. Enter the Samsung Tukar Beli programme.
What is Samsung Tukar Beli?
Fortunately, there’s a way to get Samsung’s latest phones in a relatively affordable manner as the Samsung Tukar Beli programme lets you trade-in up to 5 of your old smartphones, tablets and smartwatches to get a sweet discount, based on the condition of your devices, that can go towards your spanking new foldable uberphone. The Samsung Tukar Beli programme isn’t just limited to the new Galaxy Z series foldables – you can also trade-in for the new Galaxy Tab series and Galaxy Watch series too.
All you have to do is bring your old devices to a participating outlet for the Samsung Tukar Beli programme, get them assessed and you’ll then get an offer for them which works as a discount. You can also do it via the Samsung Online store here. All you have to do is then pay the difference and you’ll be the proud owner of one of the most advanced phones on the planet.
The devices that Samsung is accepting for trade-in run the gamut across all major brands including their own phones, Apple’s iPhones, vivo, OPPO and more.
You can check out the complete list here. One thing to note is that they will post up a new list of prices monthly based on supply and demand so you’ll have to refresh the page every month to check and see what’s in demand and what price it’ll fetch.
What else to worry about with Samsung Tukar Beli?
Needless to say, there’s a few common sense bits of fine print you have to adhere to. For starters, and this is somewhat obvious – you’ll have to be the legal owner of the devices that you aim to trade-in. Next up is that the devices have to be in working condition which means they aren’t tied into existing telco contracts nor should they be network or IMEI blocked. Naturally, that means these devices haven’t been reported as being nicked from somewhere else.
Bar these minor caveats, it’s time to rummage about your sock drawer and rustle up all those phones you’re not using and put them to good use – getting a new Fold 3 or Flip 3. If you’re particularly astute, you can also take advantage of their limited-time offer where you can get free rewards up to RM1,299 too which makes it a win-win scenario.
