Sennheiser appoints Tamico Bell in Malaysia and reveals new line-up of audio for business products
Global purveyors of all things audio related, Sennheiser today officially announced a new business alliance with Tamico Bell, a total solutions provider for communications and security systems in Malaysia. Tamico Bell will represent and market Sennheiser’s diverse array of enterprise-oriented headsets, unified communications solutions as well as their conference/presentation technologies for business throughout Malaysia. While their consumer audio headphones take the limelight, Sennheiser’s audio solutions for businesses and large enterprises are the linchpin of organisations that need easy-to-deploy, reliable, secure and efficient conferencing, call and communications tech.
Both Tamico Bell and Sennheiser took the wraps off a variety of conferencing and audio technologies for business that are able to be deployed not just in a business environment like an office but also in areas that require reliable audio for both listening and for dissemination of information like hotel conference rooms, airports, cinemas and more. For more details check out Tamico Bell’s official page here. Here’s a selection of what they launched today:
TeamConnect Wireless module
Resembling a series of chunky hockey pucks, the TeamConnect Wireless modules are a portable wireless conference system designed for easy deployment and high audio quality. The TeamConnect Wireless each acts as both speakers and headphones with one master module and three linked slave modules to allow for up to 24 people in a room to effectively communicate in a clear fashion via conference call without having to crowd around a phone.
The TeamConnect Wireless modules take in audio input via almost anything : it sports a Bluetooth connection, NFC, a 3.5mm line-in as well as a micro USB port too to cover all the bases. Each module sits on a customised charging tray and offers up to 8 hours of battery life before needed a juicing via the tray again. While they usually come with a charging dock, you can also opt for a larger, more robustly built armoured suitcase that lets you charge up to four modules at a time. There’s no official price tag as it varies depending on what configuration of master/slave modules and charging docks you get but you can give Tamico Bell a call to get a quote.
Sennheiser MB660 headphones
Lushly upholstered and robustly built, these over-ear headphones come with a slew of tech optimised for productivity in even the noisiest office environments. The headphones are foldable for compact carry and feature adaptive active noise cancellation – the noisier it is the harder they work to cancel out the noise.
The cans are also certified with Skype for business and come with a mike tricked out with their WindSafe and Own-Voice-Detector for clear conversations by squelching out external background noises like keyboards the wind and the like. It also incidentally works as a rocking pair of cans capable of high quality stereo and CD quality streaming via aptX. The MB660 connects via Bluetooth or a dongle to your PC and offers up to 30 hours of battery life before needing a juicing.
Sennheiser Culture Plus Mobile headphones
These on-ear headsets feature a fold-out mike for unified communications and featured connectivity via a standard 3.5mm audio jack or via a USB cable so you can walk around the office and continue nattering without having to remain tethered to your desk. The headsets all noise cancelling mikes that filter out ambient noise and have Skype for Business certification too.
Sennheiser MobileConnect
While the idea sounds somewhat lofty, these ceiling-mounted units essentially let you stream live audio via Wi-Fi to your own headphones or other gear. This means you can, for example, tune into an audio channel in the language of your choice when listening to a lecture in an auditorium or cinema. The advantage of this system is that it doesn’t need bulky equipment to work and all that’s needed is to download the free Sennheiser MobileConnect app on iOS and Android.
