Sennheiser CX 400BT True Wireless earbuds bring awesome top-shelf performance at RM999

The original Sennheiser True Wireless Momentum 2 was an excellent pair of wireless headphones that blended active noise cancelling, great sound and a somewhat premium price tag. Fortunately, Sennheiser has just issued the CX 400BT True Wireless that has much of the same performance of its pricier sibling at a lower price point.

The Sennheiser CX 400BT True Wireless earbuds integrated the same 7mm dynamic drivers as the True Wireless Momentum 2 to deliver a similar sound signature with deep bass, excellent mids and a detailed, clear high end. Where they primarily differ is that the CX 400BT earbuds lack the active noise cancellation tech of its pricier compatriot.

The CX 400BT earbuds also sport a more plasticky finish with a different, more squarish looking design with touch control panels emblazoned with Sennheiser’s signature logo up top with your choice of either black or white variants.

Aesthetics and noise cancellation tech aside, the CX 400BT offers aptX, SBC and AAC support and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity along with 7 hours of music playback on a single charge with an additional two full charges in the charging case for a grand total of 20 hours of usage time before running try. It also has a quick charge function that offers an hour worth of music with just 10 minutes of charging.

To ensure good call quality, the CX 400BT integrates what Sennheiser calls “ambient noise reduction microphones” to ensure natural and clear voice calls.

At launch, the Sennheiser CX 400BT True Wireless earbuds will be available globally from September 15 in your choice of either black or white priced at €199 (about RM988). We’ll keep you posted on availability and exact prices for Malaysia the moment we get details from Sennheiser.
