Sharp Malaysia donates generously to rebuild flood-affected schools
Sharp Malaysia in collaboration with the Ministry of Education (MOE) has donated RM383,827 worth of electronic appliances to schools affected by the recent flood in several districts in Pahang and Selangor as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in Malaysia..
In a short but meaningful ceremony, Sharp Malaysia donated 976 electrical appliances which consists of a host of products that include ceiling fans, wall fans, stand fans, air conditioners, kettles, refrigerators and televisions to 44 schools in Selangor and 56 schools in Pahang. These 100 academic institutions comprise of government and government aided schools.
.“Our goal is to ensure learning continues for our students who are affected by the recent natural disaster as well as the pandemic. It is important that we work closely with the private sector especially companies like Sharp Malaysia to provide students with the necessary amenities that offer them a comfortable environment to focus on their studie,.” said YB Dato’ Dr. Mah Hang Soon, Deputy Minister of Education
As part of their CSR initiatives, Sharp Malaysia has also contributed their Smart Classroom Solution to five schools in Malaysia to enable remote learning and teaching in light of the ongoing pandemic. The Smart Classroom Solution combines their AQUOS Touch TV touchscreen and Dynabook laptops that integrate a complete video conferencing solution.
