Shopee 12.12 Birthday sales reinforce offline retail with amazing bargains and offerings
To say that 2020 has been a tough year is certainly an understatement but things are looking up as Shopee announced a number of measures with their Shopee 12.12 Birthday sale that will help over 1,000 traditional brick-and-mortar businesses along with their customary bargains galore.
To that end, Shopee has announced partnerships in conjunction with their Shopee 12.12 Birthday sale that include the following establishments:
Shopping Malls: Lot10, Quill City Mall, and Tropicana Gardens Mall in Kuala Lumpur; Gurney Paragon Mall in Penang, and The Spring Mall in Sarawak
Cinemas: TGV Cinemas and MBO Cinemas
Retail/Grocer: FamilyMart, Padini, Pandora, Mydin, Caring
F&B: Starbucks, Coca-Cola, Gong Cha, Kenny Rogers Roasters, Tealive
This new collaboration with these traditional offline retail outlets will have a variety of tickets and vouchers as well as a host of other bargains that include daily cashback up to RM8 when users visit these establishments and use ShopeePay.
Shopee Malaysia’s Head of Seller Management, Zed Li said, “We asked ourselves what we could do to contribute towards business continuity of traditionally offline players, and saw the opportunity to convert our high traffic into footfall for them. Additionally, consumers can also do their part in helping their favourite establishments maintain steadier cash flow by buying their deals online ahead of their visit to the stores.”
Li added, “Remaining resilient on our own at a time of crisis is not sustainable in the long run. All industries need to break the boundaries and join forces to protect the future of Malaysia’s economy and wellbeing of its people.”
Shopee 12.12 Birthday Sale Bargains and Events
For the Shopee 12.12 Birthday Sale, they’re introducing a slew of their anticipated bargains and discounts. For starters, Shopee is offering free shipping with a minimum purchase of RM12 from now till 12th December 2020. Shopee will also be offering 12 million Shopee coins, free FamilyMart ice cream daily and an iPhone 12 up for grabs along with their customary RM1 Shocking sales.
Shopee is also hosting a new live game show on the platform dubbed Shopee Kotak Duit which has up to RM12,000 in cash up for grabs that are hosted at 9PM every Monday to Thursday with special sessions on 11th and 12th December. Selected lucky winners will need to answer a simple question to get the chance to unlock one of six boxes, each of which has different prizes with one box containing the desired RM12,000 prize.
Shopee will also be making things vastly more entertaining with a live countdown show on 11th December from 9PM onwards that will be broadcasted on Shopee Live, Astro Ria, Astro Gempak and YouTube with a host of celebrities Sheila Majid, Faizal Tahir, Ruffedge, Misha Omar, Khai Bahar, and Dolla with 12 million Shopee Coins from Shopee Shake and Shopee Catch along with RM24,000 in cash up for grabs.
