New Sony Alpha 1 II mirrorless flagship camera and FE 28-70mm F2 G Master lens launched in Malaysia
Sony is adding a new addition to their premium G master E-mount lens line-up with the addition of their first full-frame FE 28-70mm F2 lens as well as the Sony Alpha 1 II camera body for the Malaysia market.

The Sony G Master FE 28-70mm F2 lens is able to offer a large F2 aperture across the entire zoom range while ensuring pin-sharp corner-to-corner resolution across the zoom range while a unique Sony Nano AR Coating II minimises flares and ghosting for clarity even when strong light sources appear in the frame.
The lens XD linear motors as well as a newly designed aperture unit also ensure quiet operation and have body breathing compensation with the Alpha series camera’s image stabilisation ‘Active Mode’. Additional subtle enhancements include a fluorine coating on the front element for easier cleaning, silicone gaskets on the buttons and switches as well as a rubber ring on the lens mount to minimise dust and moisture ingress.
Sony Alpha 1 II specs
The new Sony Alpha 1 II is a full-frame mirrorless E-mount camera with a 50.1MP CMOS sensor that supports the aforementioned FE 28-70mm F2 lens, up to 30fps blackout-free continuous shooting with AF/AE tracking at up to 30 frames per second, an anti-distortion shutter and AI processing for better subject recognition that include animals, birds, insects and cars.
The Sony Alpha 1 II also includes an Auto mode that can detect a wider variety of subjects, a pre-capture function that snags shots up to a second before the shutter button is pressed as well as an anti-distortion shutter. The camera also has improved optical image stabilisation up to 8.5 stops (center) and up to 7.0 stops (periphery( when shooting still images and a Dynamic active mode for video shooting.
Shots are framed via a 3.2-inch LCD with 2 million dots resolution and a 4-axis multi-angle swivel or via an 1.6-com electronic viewfinder with 9.4 million dots. The camera also has improved connectivity with 2.5Gbps Ethernet as well as the new BC-ZD1 charger capable of charging two batteries at a time.
