Sleek Sony PlayStation 5 Slim on preorder in Malaysia from RM2,069

If you’re still on the fence on getting the Sony PlayStation 5, you’re in luck as a lighter and slimmer revamped model that’s commonly referred to as the PlayStation 5 Slim  is coming to Malaysia with a street date slated for 20th February 2024 onwards.

In an official post, Sony Malaysia announced that the PlayStation 5 Slim will be available from 20th February 2024 onwards priced at RM2,499 for the version equipped with the Blu-ray disc drive and RM2,069 for the PS5 Digital Edition that lacks said Blu-ray drive. For the uninitiated, the revamped PlayStation 5 Slim is lighter by 18% and 24% for both models respectively and is slimmer by 30%.

If you still want to play games on disc with the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, you can opt for the optional PS5 Slim Blu-ray Disc Drive which comes as a separate external accessory for RM529. If you’re looking for a way to prop it up, they’re also issuing a PlayStation 5 Slim Vertical Stand that is compatible with all PS5 models for RM149.
