New Sony WF-1000XM6 wireless earbuds with improved noise cancelling now in Malaysia for RM1,599
Sony has just introduced the latest generation of their premium wireless earbuds 1000X line-up in Malaysia. The successor to the prior WF-1000XM5, the new Sony WF-1000XM6 has a host of refinements for better connectivity, noise cancelling and sound performance.
Sony WF-1000XM6 improvements
Compared to its predecessor, the new WF-1000XM6 has redesigned earbuds that are more ergonomic with a curvier, pill-shaped design that’s 11% slimmer than the prior model while retaining IPX4 splash resistance. Even the charging case has been redesigned with a flat top and bottom for better stability to better support Qi wireless charging too.
Beyond aesthetics, the Sony WF-1000XM6 has a host of upgrades under the hood. The earbuds host a QN3e HD noise cancelling chip and four microphones compared to three in its predecessor for superior noise cancellation performance as well as a bone conduction sensor paired with two microphones and an AI beamforming noise reduction algorithm for clearer audio calls.
The new earbuds also feature the proven Integrated Processor V2 last used in the previous model with an Adaptive Noise Cancelling Optimiser to further enhance noise cancellation performance while also supporting 32-bit audio. Sony has also introduced a new driver unit that utilises a number of different materials to produce deeper bass and clearer sound reproduction.
In addition to hardware upgrades, Sony has also collaborated with the same Grammy Award-winning team of audio engineers that have worked with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Bob Dylan and more to ensure precisely tuned sound quality.
Rounding things off is a respectable 8 hours of battery life on a single charge and up to 24 hours if you add in the charging case.
Sony WF-1000XM6 Malaysia price
In terms of pricing and availability, the Sony WF-1000XM6 are now available for RM1,599 in your choice of either Black or Platinum Silver colourways with an early-bird special knocking the price down for just RM1,249 for a limited time while stocks last.
