Synology Rackstation RS2821RP+ with faster performance now available

Synology has just launched their new 3U 16-bay Rackstation RS2821RP+ network access storage system with enhanced performance across the board is now available in Malaysia.

Intended for small to medium businesses, the Synology Rackstation RS2821RP+ represents a highly customisable solution ideal for most business requirements. Onboard memory can be upgraded to 32GB DDR4 ECC and the existing 16 drive bays offer plenty of room for expansion.

If necessary, the Synology Rackstation RS2821RP+ can add an additional 12 drive bays with the optional RX1217(RP) expansion unit to allow for up to 28 drive bays, allowing it to scale with the needs of a business.

The PCIe port on the Synology Rackstation RS2821RP+ can also be retrofitted with a dual-port Synology 10GbE or 25GbE NIC for enhanced network throughput or a Synology M.2 adapter card with SNV3000 series NVME SSDs to create an SSD cache to enhance random read/write IOPS of hard drive arrays.

The Synology Rackstation RS2821RP+ also has 115% higher random read write IOPs, 162% higher read OPS along with 26% higher sequential read performance at 2,200MB/s and 65% higher sequential write throughput at 1,164MB/s compared to its predecessor.
