Taobao kicks off Grand 618 sale in Malaysia with Bahasa, English and Chinese interface options
Taobao has announced the return of their 618 sale that takes place in the middle of the year to coincide with the debut of their new Bahasa Malaysia interface that takes its place alongside English and the original Chinese UI. The update in multiple languages also adds in a host of new features.
Among the features added to the user interface include an Image Search feature that uses AI-image recognition to find similar items to whatever you snapped in a photo, Coins Cashback so that you can get incentives at selected sellers and cashback on selected purchases, new user perks as low as 1 RMB ( about RM0.62) for new Taobao shoppers.

As part of the 618 sale which is taking place from 28 May to 20 June 2025, Taobao will offer:

- Up to RM68 off on instant payment discount
- Enjoy discounts of up to 50% off promo codes
- Daily flash sales and wide range of products discounts up to 15%
