The BR-X1 Hyperstellar chronograph is out of this world

The BR-X1 HyperStellar chronograph is an impressive example of craftsmanship, not just on account of its swanky good looks alone but for the fact that it’s been designed as an astronaut’s dream watch with the robustness and reliability needed for them to stay on mission. That and it’s one posh looking watch too.

The external 45mm diameter casing is machined from titanium and aluminium while the cover, center and the material surrounding the case are crafted from polished and micro-blasted Grade 5 titanium. To add resistance to impacts, the BR-X1 is protected by a bumper made of micro-blasted aluminium and rubber that acts as an external shock absorber. To wit: it’s built like a tank but is still exceptionally light on account of the superior materials incorporated into its design. The strap itself is a combination of alligator and grey-hued rubber with steel pins.

Up close, the BR-X1 Hyperstellar has a BR-CAL.313 mechanical automatic movement with an hour, minute and small second hand along with a skeleton date indicator at the 6 o’ clock position and a chronograph with a 30-minute timer at the 9 o’ clock position on the watch face. Better get the plastic ready though, this baby costs RM83,400. To find out more, swing by the official Bell & Ross site here.
