The new HP Sprocket 2-in-1 printer is also a camera too
HP today took the wraps off their latest incarnation of their Sprocket pocket printer that aims to make printing and taking pics even easier than ever before. Whereas earlier incarnations of the Sprocket were essentially compact photo printers, the new Sprocket 2-in-1 one takes the aforementioned Sprocket printer and tacks on a 5-MP camera to it so you can essentially take 2×3-inch sized snaps and have them printed instantly off the Sprocket though you can also pipe shots to it for printing from your phone via Bluetooth. Snaps are printed on HP’s ZINK inkless photo paper which develops instantly and the Sprocket 2-in-1 also interacts with a revamped Sprocket app for smartphones that will incorporate AR features into it and which also lets you tweak shots with all the usual filters, borders and the like.
When a pic printed off the Sprocket 2-in-1 is scanned via the aforementioned app on your phone, you can “Relive Memories” and then see all the snaps that you’ve taken at that time and place which can act as a helpful reminder of places you’ve been to.
There’s no word on price yet but the Sprocket 2-in-1 will arrive in Malaysia sometime in January 2018 and in your choice of either White or Black.
