As far as exclusivity goes, the MINI John Cooper Works Pro Edition has it cornered  as there are only 20 of these sweet rides allocated for Malaysia. The JCW Pro Edition comes with a distinctive red and black chequered paint job on the roof and comes tricked out with a host of extra kit that differentiates it from it’s more plebeian cousins. The car runs on 18-inch cross-spoke light alloy wheels done up in a shade of jet black while the tires sport run flat tech so it can keep running at 80km/h for up to 80km even with a puncture. Other mod cons include an aerodynamic kit that features a front splitter, side skirts, rear bumper and rear spoiler to give it a distinctively commanding appearance.

Under the hood, the Mini JCW Pro Edition also incorporates a JCW Pro tuning kit that aims to offer extra oomph when you put pedal to the metal with a performance optimised engine update and a tuned valve silencer to enhance engine performance from 192hp to 211hp along with beefing up the torque from 280Nm to 300Nm compared to a stock Mini Cooper S 5 door.

Other mod-cons include an exhaust silencer system with two modes. A “Sport” mode allows for the full unfettered audio experience when you gun the engine and the “Track” mode on the car offers up some visceral backfire pops and cracking to impress the ladies with the option to thumb between either one with a click of a Bluetooth controller. The Mini JCW Pro Edition comes only in Midnight Black Metallic at RM255,888 on the road sans insurance.
