Following on from their recent Y100 5G launch, vivo has introduced their latest line-up of midrange phones dubbed the vivo V30 Pro and the vivo V30 in Malaysia which pack Zeiss cameras along with a modicum of style to boot at modest prices.

While both the V30 Pro and V30 look similar and have identical screens, they differ slightly in terms of what processor they use, their rear camera arrays as well as their storage and RAM configurations with the vivo V30 Pro being the more superior of the two in terms of hardware along with a different price point.

The chassis also has an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance and interestingly enough, has a series of internally engineered shock absorbers to keep vital components cushioned in the event of a drop. This durability is also mirrored in the vivo V30.

The biggest draw to the vivo V30 Po is its rear triple Zeiss camera array that features a 50MP ultra wide angle camera, a 50MP main camera with Zeiss optics and a T Lens coating and a dedicated 50MP portrait camera that uses a Sony IMX816 sensor along as well as 2x optical zoom with a huge Aura Light Portrait LED 3.0 light emplaced just below the camera array.

This is further enhanced with Zeiss’s colour science and the vivo Color System for flattering looking shots. The front also hosts a 50MP autofocus selfie camera for video calls and mugshots.

In terms of hardware, the vivo V30 Pro is kitted out with a 6.78-inch AMOLED 1.5K display with 2,800 x 1,260 pixels resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate as well as a quoted 2,800 nits peak brightness. Where it stands out is the inclusion of a new Schott Xensation α Cover Glass to protect the display from scratches and nicks.
