vivo V60 with 10X ZEISS Telephoto Zoom Portrait launched in Malaysia, prices start from RM1,999

The successor to the vivo V50 launched earlier this year, the new vivo V60 has arrived right on time to celebrate vivo’s 30th anniversary and is now on preorder in Malaysia. Previewed earlier at KL Fashion Week 2025, the vivo V60 expands on the photographic capabilities of its predecessor with an emphasis on capturing professional portraiture with prices that start from RM1,999.

In terms of hardware, the vivo V60 comes with a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 and 5,000 nits peak brightness. The display is also protected by tough Diamond Shield Glass that offers 37% improved drop resistance compared to the previous generation design. The display is also flanked by stereo speakers for richer sound when gaming and watching movies.

The chassis of the vivo V60 has also been reinforced with an internal shock-absorbing structure that improves on drop resistance and is also rated for IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance and comes in your choice of Berry Purple, Summer Blue and Mist Grey colourways.

Oddly enough, the Mist Grey colourway has a different looking camera housing design as opposed to the Berry Purple and Summer Blue variants though it is functionally similar.

Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset paired with 12GB LPDDR4X RAM augmented by 12GB of virtual RAM assigned off the onboard 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The phone runs on Android 15 inclusive of Google Gemini AI support and is overlaid by their FunTouch OS 15 with 4 years of OS and 5 years of security updates. Keeping the vivo V60 powered is a 6,500mAh BlueVolt silicon-carbon battery with 90W wired fast charging support.

The main draw to the vivo V60 is its triple rear camera system which consists of a 50MP ZEISS Super Telephoto camera that uses a Sony IM882 sensor and a periscope design with 3x optical zoom and a unique 10x ZEISS Telephoto Zoom Portrait setting  as well as the ability to capture up to 100x digital zoom for stills.

This is paired with an additional 50MP f/1.88 ZEISS main camera with optical image stabilisation. This is also augmented with an 8MP f/2.0 ultra wide angle camera. Up front, the phone also has a single 50MP ZEISS f/2.2 group selfie camera for group shots and selfies.

Of note is that the vivo V60 has a ZEISS Multifocal Portrait setting that offers five popular focal lengths for professional looking shots straight out of the phone with the press of a button.

In terms of availability, the vivo V60 comes in the aforementioned three colourways Berry Purple, Summer Blue and Mist Grey in three storage configurations. Preorders start from today until 4 September 2025 with free gifts worth up to RM1,336 for those who preorder.

Among the free gifts is an RM100 rebate, a 1+1 years extended warranty, a 1 year screen-crack protection warranty and a 1 year back cover protection warranty. The biggest gift is a free vivo V60 x Popmart Sziga collaboration gift set with a collection of a dozen figurines.
