New premium midrange vivo V70 launched in Malaysia, priced from RM1,999
vivo has officially launched the vivo V70 latest addition to their premium midrange line-up that blends powerful cameras and performance in a premium aluminium alloy frame at modest prices.

The successor to last year’s vivo V60, the vivo V70 has a 6.59-inch 1.5K Ultra Clear OLED display with 2,750 x 1,260 pixels resolution and up to a 120Hz refresh rate. Running under the hood is a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset running Android 16 and OriginOS 6. vivo also vouches that the phone will enjoy 6 years of security updates.
In Malaysia, the vivo V70 can be acquired in three RAM/storage configurations with an 8GB RAM/256GB, 12GB RAM/256GB and 12GB RAM and 512GB storage option available. Keeping the phone powered is a large 6,500mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging The chassis is also rated with IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance with a quoted 1.5 meters of drop-resistance.
The rear comes with a triple camera setup that consists of a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto camera and an 8MP ultra wide camera, all of which features ZEISS lenses. The front hosts a single 50MP ZEISS camera for selfies.
The rear cameras also feature an AI Stage Mode for stage photography that, combined with the 50MP telephoto camera, allows for 10x hybrid zoom. Of note is that both the front and rear cameras feature 4K@60fps video capture that further improves its capabilities for content creators. The vivo V70 is also the first in the line-up to introduce an AI Audio Noise Eraser to edit out unwanted noise from footage.

In terms of pricing, the vivo V70 is available in three RAM/storage configurations for the Malaysia market with the base 8GB RAM/256GB variant priced at RM1,999, the 12GB RAM/256GB variant for RM2,199 and the top of the line variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage for RM2,599. All configurations also get your choice of three colourways which are Alpine Gray, Authentic Black and a signature shade of Golden Hour.
