In a global event in Shanghai, China, vivo unveiled their next generation flagships the vivo X300 Pro and the vivo X300 that pack the best hardware and imaging tech the brand has to offer.

Both the vivo X300 and X300 Pro are both the first phones that use the spanking new MediaTek Dimensity 9500 flagship processor that is designed to go toe to toe with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Both the vivo X300 and X300 Pro come with base configurations with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage and up.

In terms of build and design, the vivo X300 Pro has a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Beyond the deployment of the new Dimensity 9500 chipset, vivo has placed particular emphasis on improving the imaging hardware.

On the imaging front, the vivo X300 Pro features a triple camera setup which consists of a 50MP f/1.57 main camera that uses a 1/1.28” Sony LYT-828 sensor paired with gimbal OIS, a large 200MP f/2.67 periscope telephoto camera with 1/1.4” Samsung HPB sensor as well as a ZEISS T* coating to mitigate reflections, a 50MP ultra wide angle as well as a single front-facing 50MP selfie camera. Of note is the addition of a vivo VS1 and V3+ imaging chip for better image quality.

Keeping the vivo X300 Pro powered is a 6,510mAh battery that offers 90W wired charging as well as 40W wireless charging. What makes both the vivo X300 Pro particularly unique is that it supports an optional Zeiss 2.35x teleconverter lens, lending it a snout-like look and enhanced optical zoom that relies on an attachable mount to securely attach itself to the phone, extending the main camera all the way to a stunning 200mm equivalent focal length. There’s no confirmation if an adaptor and mount exists for the smaller vivo X300.
