vivo X300 Ultra and vivo X300 FE with telephoto upgrade kits launched in Malaysia
The new vivo X300 Ultra and vivo X300 FE have finally made their official appearance in Malaysia in a gala launch that took place at Hextar World. Both phones are part of the X300 series line-up with the titular X300 and its Pro variant making its Malaysia debut late last year.
Representing both extremes of the scale, the vivo X300 Ultra packs the best tech that vivo cam cram into a smartphone with commensurately princely price tags while the vivo X300 FE acts as a more affordable medley of proven technologies at an accessible price point. The vivo X300 Ultra dials everything to eleven with the best hardware that vivo currently has in their arsenal. The front is dominated by a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and 2,160Hz PWM dimming.

Paired with this is the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 paired with 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra Pro RAM and either 512GB or 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. Keeping the phone powered is a 6,600mAh battery.
What lends the phone its Ultra designation is its triple camera camera array dominated by not one but two huge 200MP cameras and a 50MP ultra wide angle camera. One 200MP camera with a Sony Lytia 901 sensor while the other 200MP camera acts as a telephoto camera with a Samsung ISOCELL HP0 sensor. The front gets a single 50MP selfie camera.

The vivo X300 FE, which stands for Fun Edition comes with a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a quoted 5,000 nits peak brightness.
Running under the hood is the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset on the vivo X300 Ultra paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and either 256GB or 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. Keeping the phone juiced is a 6,500mAh battery with 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging.

On the imaging front, the vivo X300 FE comes with a more modest imaging setup which consists of a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x zoom and an 8MP ultra wide camera with the front featuring a single 50MP selfie camera.

Both phones run the latest Android 16 overlaid with OriginOS 6 and, of note, feature 5 years of OS Updates and 7 years of security updates.

In terms of pricing, the vivo X300 Ultra with 16GB RAM/512GB storage will retail for RM6,799 while the 16GB RAM/1TB storage variant will retail for RM7,799. You can also get the 1TB variant with the telephoto extender kit for RM9,999. If you preorder the Ultra before 22 May 2026, you can get an RM900 rebate in addition to an array of perks.

In the case of the vivo X300 FE, you can acquire the 12GB RAM/256GB variant for RM3,299 while the 12GB RAM/512GB variant is priced at RM3,999. However, if you opt to get the optional telephoto extender kit with the phone prices the former configuration to RM4,298 and the latter to RM4,898 with an integrated pre-order rebate worth RM300.



Optionally, you can buy the telephoto extender kits as individual sets though it has to be said that the kits are specific to each phone and are not interchangeable. The vivo X300 FE Telephoto Extender Gen 2 kit retails for RM999 while the vivo X300 Ultra Extender Gen 2 with a 200mm focal length is priced at RM999 while the Gen 2 Ultra with a 400mm focal length retails for RM1,599.
